Beckie Michael, DO
Beckie Michael, DO, is Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Jefferson Medical College and the Medical Director of the Intermediate Dialysis Unit at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Michael's postgraduate education includes an internal medicine residency at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey and nephrology fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University. She is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology. Dr. Michael is a member of the USRDS Network 4 Medical Review Board.
Dr. Michael's clinical and research activities involve the care and management of hemodialysis patients. She has participated in clinical trials related to anemia management, vascular access and bone disease. Dr. Michael has co-authored peer-reviewed articles which have appeared in Kidney International, American Journal of Kidney Diseases, Clinical Nephrology and Transplant Proceedings. She is a frequent invited lecturer at regional medical centers and clinical symposia.
